FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Frequently asked questions by other businesses

The most effective fleet safety tool is a combination of telematics and vehicle cameras. These help you to see your drivers' behaviour and monitor if they're speeding or stopping too suddenly. By being proactive, you'll mitigate risky situations before they become accidents that end up costing your company money.
Yes, getting fleet dashcams can (and probably will) lower your insurance premiums, because insurance companies often give discounts for extra security measures on your vehicle. For fleets, dashcams provide clear evidence of incidents, reduce fraud claims, and show that you’re actively managing driver safety.
You can access footage of a specific incident by logging into your Cartrack dashboard and selecting the vehicle involved. Then choose the date and time of the incident to view or download the recording. If this doesn't work, you can give our support team a call, and we'll talk you through retrieving the footage.
When your video footage storage runs out, Cartrack usually starts overwriting the oldest recordings with new footage. However, we also offer additional storage space at a small extra fee if you want to keep older footage for longer. So recent incidents are always saved, but older clips may be deleted.
